Transforming your Android into a Wi-Fi hot spot

Do you have a Smartphone or an Android? Does it have a Wi-Fi? If yes, then you will be able to turn the phone into a Wi-Fi hotspot. However, if it is Android 2.2, you will find this already installed in your cell phone. In that case, you will simply have to learn how to use it. If you can understand the process, it will help you in better privacy protection. It also benefits you with making the most of the Internet connection on your phone.

Creating the Wi-Fi hot spot
In order to create the Wi-Fi hot spot you will be required to follow these steps. These are:

  1. First of all, you will be required to go to the "Applications" and click on "Settings". The settings option within your Android phone helps you to change the functions of the phone as per your requirements. Within this application, you will be required to find out the "Tethering & Portable Hot Spot" option.
  2. Then, you will be required to click this option to get access to the subordinate menu of the settings application. Here, you will be able to see the things which you will be able to change with regards to the hot spot you are going to create.
  3. The, your work would be to enable the hot spot. This can be done by checking out the box called "Portable Hot Spot". This is going to help you with creating the basic hot spot throughout your cell.
  4.  After this you will be required to press the "Configure" settings so that you can change the information with regards to the hot spot you are going to create. After you do this, a box is going to appear which will show network SSID. You will have the option to give a name that you wish to keep for the Wi-Fi network.
  5. Then your job would be to select the "Security" button and then the "Password." Then you will have to provide the password you would like to keep for the network. This helps you to protect your network privacy.

At last, you will be required to save the changes that you have made to the phone by using the Wi-Fi spot in your cell. From next time you will be able to use the network to connect to other Wi-FI enabled devices.
